What is Marlowe Theater?
The Marlowe Theater is the major theater in Canterbury located in Canterbury, Kent, United Kingdom. It was established in year 1984 and was named after the playwright Christopher Marlowe. The theater was designed by the Architect Keith Williams and the theater was closed in year 2009 for the renovation and re-development. The Marlowe Theater was re-opened on October 4, 2011 and the theater has a seating capacity of more than twelve hundred seats. The venue features large number of performances by famous artists and the theater has played host to number of plays, ballet, opera, concerts, children’s shows and comedy shows.
