I recently purchased a silver heart pendant and a heart bracelet from warren james in Chelmsford as a 50th birthday present for a friend. Unfortunately, she did not like the bracelet. Therefore, today I took it back to the store in Chelmsford, Essex and explained to the young guy (who actually sold me the items a few weeks ago) that it was outside of the 16 days refund policy. He mentioned this to a lady who was also in the store. In a rather rude and abrupt manner, she said to me that I could not have a credit voucher as they did not have any. When I asked when these would be available, she replied that she didn't know. She said the only thing that could be done was to exchange there and then, or give my friend the receipt and she could go in to choose something to exchange the bracelet with. I was not happy with this as I do not want to give my friend the receipt as it also had the other item and value on which was also part of her birthday present. I kept asking if I could return to the store another day to perhaps have a credit voucher and the rude lady (who had no hesitation in advising me that she was the store manager) just kept saying that she did not know when the vouchers would be available. This is not the treatment I expected from the store and it has certainly made me think about buying anything else from warren james. I just hope that all Store Managers are not the same, otherwise customers will be scared away. Please can you advise how I can resolve this situation. All I want is a credit voucher in order that something else can be purchased in place of the original bracelet. Thank you
