What is Red Bull?
Red Bull is a brand of popular Energy drink produced by an Austrian beverage company named Red Bull GmbH. It was the most popular energy drink for the year 2012 in which its 5.2 billion cans were sold. The brand was launched in the year 1987 and the Idea of developing the brand came into the mind of Dietrich Mateschitz from as he was quite impressed with a pre-existing Thai energy drink named Krating Daeng, where the daeng means red, and krating is a reddish-brown bovine called a "gaur", an animal slightly larger than the bison, the energy drink was produced and sold in Thailand. He then decided to make an energy drink of its own and make some changes in the ingredients of the former to suit the tastes of westerners. Chaleo Yoovidhya was the founder of the Red Bull GmbH company and also owns the credit of introducing the Red Bull energy drink to the world. The energy drink mainly contains glucuronolactone, B-group vitamins, sucrose, caffeine, taurine and glucose. The company owns and sponsor many sporting teams that are competing in several sporting events such as in car racing it has Red Bull racing team, in football it owns the team named New York Red Bulls etc. It sponsors teams and events like Audi Sport for the A4 DTM, Abt Sportsline for the TT DTM etc.
