The Kitchener Fire Department is a publicly held governmental agency that provides firefightings and rescue services in the city of Kitchener, Ontario. It has a fleet of seven fire stations : station 1, Station2, Station 3 & so on together with 208 firefighters for fire protection and fire prevention services during hazardous material incidents, Technical Rescue, Automobile Extrication and disasters. The various services offered by the department includes Basic life support services, Direct Detect fire-monitoring services, Public education including Hi-Rise Fire Safety Program, Industrial Fire Safety Program, Co-Operative Education Program, and others. It also provides medical emergency help, pre planing, inspection and other services. For any fire emergency, an emergency number “9-1-1” is also provided.
