Kingston University was setup as
Kingston Technical Institute in the year 1899 and obtained affiliation as university under the Further and Higher Education
Act 1992. The University operates its campuses at different locations like, Penrhyn Road, Kingston Hill, Knights Park, and Roehampton Vale. The campuses are controlled by
Three administration blocks such as, Cooper House, Millennium House and River House. Its Faculty of Arts & Design has different research centers such as, Contemporary Art Research Centre (CARC), Color Design Research Centre, and Centre for the Contemporary Visual & Material Culture, Fashion Industry Research Centre and many others. It offers many undergraduate and postgraduate courses that are categorized into five faculties such as, Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Faculty of Business and Law, Faculty of Health and Social Care and Education, and Faculty of Science, Engineering and Computing.
Kingston University Students' Union or KUSU is the non-profit organization that controls around 30 sports clubs and 70 societies for promoting different activities. KUSU also operates three bars and two shops at different University campuses and collected funds are invested in the student benefits.
