What is Dublin Airport?
Dublin Airport is an international airport in the capital city of Dublin of Ireland. It is owned by Government of Ireland and operated by Dublin Airport Authority. The airport is amongst the busiest airport in the country. There are four major hubs for the airline including Aer Lingus, Aer Lingus Regional, Air Contractors and Ryanair. As of 2013, it carried more than 20,166,783 passengers.
Dublin Airport provides passenger services by forty five airlines, some of them are US Airways, United Airlines, Homson Airways, Ryanair, Etihad Airways, Delta Air Lines, British Airways and American Airlines. On the other hand, it also offers Cargo services through seven airlines like Air France Cargo, FedEx Express, Bluebird Cargo, FedEx Feeder, Dhl Aviation, TNT Airways and UPS Airlines.
Dublin Airport has two runways namely-10/28 and 16/34. It elevation is 242 feet. The airport was first developed as a military airport in the 1940s. In the past years the airport went through several renovations and expansions. It has two passenger terminals such as Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. The airport offers a wide range of facilities and services to the visitors like ground transportation services, car rental services, bus services, public seating area and parking services.
