What is Delta Skymiles?
SkyMiles is a program that provides miles (points) to Travelers and customers, established in 1981 with the name of "Delta Air Lines Frequent Flyer Program" but renamed in 1995. It is a regular flyer program, in which free prizes like air tickets, first class upgrades, and luxury products are given to passengers for journeying on most fare types and for using Delta co-branded credit cards. American, United and Delta U.S. airlines have very identical flyer programs with respect to earning points, redeeming points, partnerships and special offers etc. Delta skymiles treats its high level travelers better than other airways cure theirs. It has several program, travelers looking for affordable tickets can choose another program. Unlike American and United, it flies two-class aircraft so delta is always top of the line seat, making it more useful. Delta SkyMiles has an associated credit card like other airlines. The top two stage levels; Platinum and Gold need 75,000 and 50,000 yearly miles, earn 100% reward mileage and the lowest stage level (silver) need 25,000 yearly miles, generates 25% reward mileage. Top level acquired passengers of Delta SkyMiles receive six system wide upgrades and on the other hand low level achieved passengers can request upgrades. Delta SkyMiles program full of abundant earning opportunities, the co-branded American Express card offers double miles once had but discontinued. Airlines participating in Skymiles are: Alaska Airlines/Horizon Air, American Eagle, Gol Transportes Aéreos, Hawaiian Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Royal Air Maroc and Virgin Australia.
