What is Borivali National Park?
Borivali National park also known as Sanjay Gandhi National Park. It is an Indian national park in Maharashtra. It is maintained by Ministry of Environment and Forests of India. The park is spread over an area of 104 square kilometers. It was established in 1969, and is abode of variety of flora and fauna. The park is covered with trees of Kadamba, teak, karanj, shisam, and species of acacia, ziziphus. The park houses Gray Langur, Indian Flying-fox, Porcupine, Asian Palm CivetSambar Deer and Leopard. Golden orioles, racket-tailed drongos, minivets, magpies, robins, hornbills, bulbuls, Jungle Owlets are the few species of birds which are found in the forest.
