Bihar Vidhan Sabha known as Bihar Legislative Assembly is a state legislative Body of the Bihar state. It consists of several members. It is the Lower house that has 243 members. Three sessions such as Budget, Monsoon, Winter are carried each year. The assemble was formed in 1937 with the strength of 152 members. Dr Sri krishna Singh was the First Leader of the house. Before the bifurcation of the Jharkhand state the assembly used to be composed of over 300 members. It has the period of five years and can be dissolved within this as it is not the permanent body. People has the right to elect the Members of the Legislative assembly.
