What is amiri baraka?
Amiri Baraka is an African-American Actor, teacher, writer, theater director/producer, activist and a poet. He was born on October 7, 1934 in Newark, New Jersey, U.S. Amiri Baraka has also been a sergeant in the US Air Force. Among his works are included Poetry (Black Magic, Hard Facts, The Book of Monk etc.), Fiction (Tales, The System of Dante's Hell etc.), Drama (Dutchman, The Motion of History and Other Plays etc.) and others. Amiri Baraka has also made several film appearances such as in One P.M. (1972), Black Theatre: The Making of a Movement (1978), Piñero (2001), Motherland (2010) etc.
