What is abu bakr?
Abu Bakr as-Siddiq was the first Muslim caliph. He was the father in law of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) and his senior companion. His real name was Abdullah ibn Abi Quhafa. Abu Bakr as-Siddiq was born on October 573 in Mecca, Arabia and died on 23 August 634 at the age 61 in Medina, Arabia. He became the caliph in 632 CE and ruled the Rashidun Caliphate until 634 CE. Abu Bakr as-Siddiq was known by many titles which include Assiddiq, Companion of the Cave, Companion of the Tomb, Shaikh Akbar and Attique.
